Our Mission

The purpose of the Sudanese Saturday school is to nurture spiritual growth through the teaching of Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies.  Also by teaching Sudanese Cultural Awareness, students will understand many aspects of the Sudanese culture that they see in their daily life with their parents.  That all leads to a balanced Muslim Sudanese American citizen.   All students from all backgrounds are welcome.

  • Anticipated Starting date January 5th. 

  • Assessment tests Were conducted on Dec 22nd and Dec 29th, 2018 to determine the level at which the kids will be placed.

  • The school will run from January 5th till May 4th, 2019.  The new school year will start in Sept 2019 till May 2020 inshallah.

  • The school will depend on donations from the Sudanese Community. 

  • Each student will be given a School Supply list to bring to school.

  • Lunch Meal was provided for extra charges

  • Classes that will be taught are: Arabic, Islamic Studies, Quran and Cultural Awareness (Sudanese Studies) as an optional subject.

  • The proposed groups/levels are:

    • Ages 4-6.  We expected 2 levels within this age group.  We will have 2 different teachers for each level and they will be in 2 different rooms.

    • Ages 6-10.  We predict 2 levels within this age group.  We will have 2 different teachers for each level and they will also be in 2 separate rooms.

    • Ages 10-15.  We also expect 2 levels within this group, however, we will have them in the same room with 2 teachers.

  • Volunteers and students from all backgrounds are welcome to register for the school.
